2019 Molino, Mauro - Barolo Conca
The 2019 Barolo Conca shows a very light garnet color that shines in the glass. The bouquet starts off nicely, but this wine definitely needs more time in the bottle. The oak influences need time to integrate in favor of the pretty fruit that characterize...
2019 Molino, Mauro - Barolo Bricco Luciani
The Mauro Molino 2019 Barolo Bricco Luciani shows a medley of red berry fruits and lightly toasted spice. Those aromas are layered with pressed violet, rose, blood orange and shaved pencil. The palate follows at a delicate pace and with softly polished ta...
2019 Mura Mura - Barbaresco Faset
Welcome to Mura Mura, where the beauty and tradition of Piedmont yield wines of exceptional elegance and harmony.
Guido Martinetti and Federico Grom, childhood friends and founders of Gelaterie GROM, bought the land in Costigliole d’Asti in 2008, giving life to Mura Mura farm. Initially the 8-hectare property was almost entirely dedicated to the production of fruit.
In 2011, 2015 and 2018, Martinetti and Grom expanded the estates boundaries. They purchased additional hectares of land, which today includes 30 hectares in Costigliole, of which 10 are mainly planted to Barbera and Grignolino vines. They have also established 4 hectares in the Barbaresco DOCG and a 1 hectare in Serralunga d'Alba, in the Barolo DOCG. Mura Mura is a SQNPI Sustainably certified company, respecting the climatic environmental and cultural character that distinguish the different agricultural areas of the Italian territory.
2016 Nada, Fiorenzo - Barbaresco Montaribaldi
The 2016 Barbaresco Montaribaldi is generous and ample in the glass. Spice, leather, smoke, licorice and dried flowers are some of the many notes that develop in this gorgeous, enveloping Barbaresco. At this stage, the Montaribaldi is the most reticent of...
2019 Neirano - Barolo
Subtle aromas of cherries and strawberries with dried rose petals, citrus peel and cocoa. Medium- to full-bodied, vivid and juicy with bright acidity and firm, but crunchy tannins. Flavorful, racy finish. Better after 2025
2020 Neirano - Barbaresco
Attractive aromas of spiced cherries, blood orange and subtle notes of cocoa powder and bark. Medium- to full-bodied, firm and compact with a slightly chewy but fine tannin structure. Steady and lengthy. Drink or hold.
2016 Nervi - Gattinara DOCG Vigneto Molsino
Tasted next to the Valferana, the 2016 Gattinara Vigna Molsino is much more nervous in feel. Iron, dried herbs, sweet dried cherry, mint, crushed rocks, white pepper and earthy notes give the Molsino a good deal of aromatic complexity to match its intense...
2019 Pasquero-Elia - Barbaresco Serraboella
With 15,493 bottles produced with fruit selected across this celebrated MGA, the Paitin 2019 Barbaresco Serraboella reaches a perfect pitch between fruit ripeness and acidity. This exacting balance is a hallmark of the vintage. The house style, on the oth...
2019 Pasquero-Elia - Barbaresco Sori Paitin
Opening to a luminous garnet color, the Paitin 2019 Barbaresco Serraboella Sorì Paitin is delicate and fresh, but the wine is not without its inner power and consistency. It plays its cards carefully, thanks to a slow-moving bouquet characterized by redcu...
2015 Pelissero - Barbaresco Vanotu
The 2015 Barbaresco Vanotu is the most potent of these 2015 Barbarescos from Pelissero. Here the flavors are dark and boldly sketched. Black cherry, plum, licorice, new leather and copious French oak are enshrouded by massive tannins. Today, the Vanotu co...
2018 Pio Cesare - Barolo Ornato
The 2018 Barolo Ornato reveals some very distant hot-vintage aromas that are vaguely reminiscent of dried raspberry or stewed plum. Nebbiolo is extremely sensitive to the warmer temperatures and even a hint of extra ripeness is easily detected. However, t...
