Don't get us wrong, this is pure Armagnac through and through which is what we mean. It has the oak driven profile and the beautiful sweet, spice, vanilla and caramel notes that remind us of Bourbon. It is dry, slightly smoky, slightly tannic. But it also has much more going on and is remarkably well balanced at this age and proof. You could try in vain to find a Bourbon that delivers this much for this price, or you can try this instead.
