Blend of four early Takamine Whiskey experimental casks from 2003-2004. Notes of caramel and ripe tropical fruit. Well-integrated oak with an exceptionally long finish.
Introducing Takamine Whiskey as we know and love, but this one is finished for a year in hybrid casks made of American white oak and Sakura wood harvested from the Shinozaki family's own cherry trees. The nose is a bouquet of fruit, spice and flowers. Additionally, get sassafras, peaches, cherries, sweet flowers, and cola. The palate is rich with notes of persimmon, stone fruit, brown sugar, cherry cola, and a long sakura (cherry blossom) floral finish. Complex and structured.
The last surviving original Takamine Whiskey experimental casks from 1998. Notes of mature sherry, salted caramel, pomegranate molasses, and leather. Only 606 bottles available.
