Trimbach bought these two parcels of over 70-year-old vines on granite and mic in 2018. The 2020 Riesling Brand Grand Cru's nose is immediately redolent of the herbal lift of warm sites. There is dried lemon peel, thyme, smoke and earth. Yet the palate reverts to the taut house style of precision. Here a most powerful beast was captured, with drive and power, all muscle. Its ripe freshness is countered by concentration and a pithy texture. This will become oily and rich with age, projecting the sunshine of this warm site. (Bone-dry)
