This is aromatically relatively similar to the Clos du Paradis but with a broader range of spice nuances and in particular anise. The succulent, round and equally suave medium weight flavors possess both fine volume and a highly seductive mouthfeel before culminating in a bitter pit fruit and youthfully austere finale. This could use better depth so in contrast to several of the preceding wines, this does need to be cellared for at least a few years.
