The 2022 Sauvignon Grande is silky, round and assured. Wild fermented in older French puncheons, its aromatic profile is a far cry from the region's stereotypical style of Sauvignon Blanc, with nutty and toasty characters joining white stone fruit. There's no shortage of zingy acidity piercing the wine's silky core, leading to a tangy, bright finish. It is perhaps not as concentrated as the 2021, but it is already harmonious and nicely put together, which is to be applauded in this vintage.
