The 1995 may turn out to be the finest Gazin yet produced. It looks to be superior to the gorgeous 1990. The wine boasts an opaque purple color, some gorgeously rich, smoky aromas offering cassis, chocolate-tinged fruit, an opulent texture, a fabulously sweet, expansive richness as it hits the palate, low acidity, and moderately high, ripe tannin in the long, medium to full-bodied finish. This looks to be an exquisite, pure, impressively constituted Pomerol.
