Just 500 cases made. Tropical isn’t a tasting note we typically use with Pinot Noir we taste, but it’s pretty much impossible to describe this wine without mentioning ripe and tangy passionfruit. Also “concentration,” “intensity,” and “mouthwatering balance” are very generous levels of ripeness. Crushed raspberry, brandied fruitcake, mocha, blood orange, spice and (of course) passionfruit aromas and flavors ebb and flow with kaleidoscopic complexity on the nose and palate, before a squirt of citric acidity and grip of super-fine tannins bring everything to a harmonious close. Wildly delicious already and even better from 2025-2037 or longer.
