This is a blend of 40% Sangiovese, 20% Merlot, 20% Syrah and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon aged in French tonneaux for 16 months. The Borgo Scopeto 2018 Borgonero offers savory tobacco and spice, with smoke, redwood and sweet earth. But it also delivers plenty of blackberry and black plum over medium-rich concentration. This is a terrific value proposition with 70,000 bottles made.
