From the temperate climes of Hawke's Bay, this is a full-bodied and round Sauvignon Blanc that's about as mellow as the variety gets. It's rich and mouth-filling, with masses of texture, plentiful concentration and flavors of peaches, bruised apple and cream-filled pastry. While there's impressive concentration here, the conclusion is slightly languid; gentle acidity and well-handled phenolics from skin contact provide just about enough structure.
