The 2017 Saint George was aged for 12 months in used French oak. It comes in with 13.5% alcohol. This is friendly, with flavorful and ripe fruit. It has an easy appeal. There's not a lot of power or structure, which probably gives it a ceiling, but it has some. It's meant for earlier and more casual drinking at this level in the lineup. Nonetheless, this does well in its style. It sometimes this year seems richer than it is, and it's Agiorgitiko?so, you know it smells and tastes great. Soft and sappy, it's a lot of fun. It can hold a reasonable time, but it's not supposed to be a cellar candidate.
