The 2017 Chablis Mont de Milieu 1er Cru is blessed with one of the finest aromatics from Lilian Duplessis this year: very complex pressed white flowers, cold flint, just a hint of wild mint all very succinct and delineated. The palate is well balanced with a fine line acidity, quite saline towards the finish with very good persistence. Lilian Duplessis mentioned that he is still familiarizing himself with this vineyard after his parcel was returned after a fermage agreement came to an end. He seems to know it well enough to make a great wine like this
