The 2015 Barolo Broglio (with fruit from Serralunga d'Alba) reveals a slightly dusty bouquet with focused mineral definition. Beyond those notes of crushed stone and flint, you get licorice, dried fruit and camphor ash. This wine is more detailed and focused in personality, with many moving parts that make for a graceful aromatic performance. In the mouth, the tannins are dry and firm.
The 2015 Barolo Broglio is endowed with real energy and punch. Sweet red cherry, iron, dried rose petal, mint, star anise and spice notes lend an exotic flair to this mid-weight, wonderfully expressive Barolo from Schiavenza. Soft curves and forward fruit give the 2015 lovely immediacy, but there is a good bit of structure as well.
